Our School

Beyond the differences which have arisen within the style founded by Master H. Otsuka, we like to take part and share the experiences of all the current style Wado and no less than other styles or other martial arts. In the past sports years, we have participated and continue to participate in numerous workshops and seminars held by various schools in different styles from our conducted both by Italian masters both Japanese masters.

Our vision of Karate goes well beyond the simple meaning of the empty hand, in fact, from the outset we introduce the practitioner to use of various traditional weapons, such as rod and shinay. Contact with these that is undervalued in many gyms or reserved for more senior grades, is for us the educational value to put the practitioner at his "home" even in the face of these.

We also decided to take part in different competitions at various levels, to give our students the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned even in sports. We also believe that the competition is more of a competition with themselves than towards the opponent as such or for the medal. So it is necessary for the practitioner to experience emotions such as "fear of stroke" or "unexpected" in a controlled environment that is the competition.

Finally, given the plurality of today's teachings, interior style Wado, which we believe are equal, our School of Karate Essence tries to follow with regard to the technical-education to the dictates of the master Tatsuo Suzuki (Yokohama April 27, 1928 - July 12, 2011), a direct student of the founder of Wado-ryu Karate, Hironori Otsuka (June 1, 1892 - January 29, 1982) and his Sempai.

My Philosophy

I always use to say to my students that a fight is the expression of this in the body of the mind and consciousness.
Also consider fundamental to the study of poetry that allows the practitioner to find an expression suited to his own nature. These are all useful tools for a fighter, in fact, a fight is nothing but a poem made with the body that becomes his pencil, the mind becomes his technique, and consciousness is mixed to honor his courage without which no action can be effective

And as a sort of handbook for daily life that martial arts and Eastern philosophy applied to practical thinking will accompany us and make it possible to disentangle even with some success in the jungle of modern life.
Is customary for me to move from a first learning approach on the mat in the dojo to practice applied in the common life which is the real place where the martial arts have reason to be.

My Master

During my life I came into contact with many men of great moral stature and espeienza. A good reason they could be said to be masters of their discipline, art or morality taught, but none of them contained in itself all three of these prerogatives.

So long, eager for knowledge, I had the good fortune to meet a gentleman minute, nothing flashy in its simplicity and humility. This man in his movements dry and hard as nails on the mat, became suddenly tender and delicate as silk when a boy child sitting on his lap as does a son with his father. I've realized that the technique can be refined with time and patience, but the heart descends from our spirit and this last is written in us from birth and comes out only thanks to what we receive from the outside world, in particular by those who we next. This was the largest teaching that has left me, treat their students as if they were children, which is why I chose him as a teacher....Read More
